It’s Friday Guys – Food Waste Friday.
Food Waste isn’t just about Friday’s.
Reducing food waste takes conscious effort every day of the week.
For example, yesterday I was in no doubt that there were way too many vegetables lurking in my fridge.
This led to there being twice as many vegetables in the slow-cooked lamb casserole I made for dinner.

Yesterday was Thursday and I made a food save. Thus reducing what needs saving today and over the weekend.
Leading me onto the Food Waste Friday Linky.
It doesn’t have to be a Friday post, it can be any post about reducing food waste, or a share of a recipe that can make a food waste save. In fact to get the ball rolling I’m going to link up to a couple of my old No Waste Tastes Great recipes that I have conjured up on a Food Waste Friday.
It’s all about getting inspired, and thinking up delicious ways to reduce what food we throw out, as well as sharing ingenious (or just downright simple) ways to keep food waste at bay.
Last week a reader reminded me of some great advice given by The Frugal Girl after I mentioned that berries can be a problem for me on the food waste front. Did you see it in the comments? I’m trying it out today – let’s see how it works out. I’m thinking it might be a keeper – Kristen tried it and was sold.
Do you have any great advice to share? You don’t have to be a blogger, and link up, to do this. The comments section is here for all – it’s a conversation.
I haven’t done my Friday routine yet. Did you catch the post where I explained there’s approx. a 36 hour window in which the routine takes place. One I’ve done an inventory of the fridge I’ll post it over on Facebook. Feel free to share yours!

No, I hadn’t seen this comment before, but what a terrific idea from Kristen. Raspberries especially go moldy very quickly. I will be trying this the next time we buy berries.
