Please find the usual cheeses and spreads, and some salad.
There’s also 1 salmon fillet – which will be used up as part of a salad. Oh and some opened yoghurt, which will be used up on granola over the weekend.
There is, however, some potential waste.
But I do have a plan. The pepper will be included in a slow-cooked curry. It’s a little wrinkly (a bit like me) but will be fine when softened.
The apples are way past their prime, but I’m thinking apple sauce. This can be frozen for later use.
(Did y’all see my bizarre apple sauce video over on Facebook late last year. I must have been having a ‘moment’)
My potential waste is less than anticipated. Usually when I have a busy week, my waste increases.
And I have had a busy week. Regardless of getting ahead of myself.
There’s been a whole lotta baking going’on at Chez Wright.
I’m currently working on cake 3 for my own daughter’s birthday.
(Want to bake your own? Check out these recipes…)
It’s all good fun. It’s a celebration.
Thanks as always to Kristen, The Frugal Girl, (the founder of Food Waste Friday and the inspiration behind No Waste Tastes Great)…Don’t forget to head on over to her’s to link up your Food Waste Friday post!

Girl, my fridge looks ALMOST as empty as yours this week! (and like you, I do have a wrinkly pepper that needs to be used ASAP.)
