How To Bake A Cake

April 8, 2014 by SimplyBeingMum

You never know where inspiration, for a blog post, will come from.

(Actually it is my daughter’s 9th birthday, but I hadn’t planned on blogging about that).

Then, I received an e-mail from a reader.

As I e-mailed back – inspiration struck.

The majority of questions I get asked, as a blogger, are cake-related.

It’s not surprising when I alternate being the 3rd (I’m 3rd today) and 4th result, on Google, when someone searches ‘how to make a birthday cake’.

(how exactly did that happen?)

So in celebration of a Birthday at Chez Wright, and because it might be nice to do a little round up – here are 5 cake recipes that might come in useful.

And whilst we’re talking cake, the floor is open…

Feel free to ask any baking related questions in the comments below!

Let them eat cake!

My question is – do you prefer to make the same 1 or 2 (or 5!) favourite cakes all the time, or do you try a lot of new recipes?

These recipes look delicious! You’re obviously very good at your cake-baking craft (I always admire the pics), so I would love to try some of these. My daughter is turning 2 next month so I have a perfect opportunity to give one a try!

Happy Birthday to Leah! I LOVE the panda! Zoe’s favourite animal is a panda. She has had a toy panda that is her ‘special’ bedtime toy for years. Hope you had a wonderful celebration 🙂
