I guess last weeks post where I claimed that eating Paleo was reducing my fruit and vegetable waste was only going to lead to one thing;
Food waste.
When will I ever learn?
It’s mainly due to not being mindful enough of what I left in the fridge last weekend, while we were dancing away to the Wurlitzer at Blackpool Tower.
It’s a rather substantial food waste confession this Friday.
On a more positive note I whizzed some slow cooked chicken and vegetables to make a souper save (pardon the pun).
And my fridge is looking rather fine and dandy after following my Friday routine.
Onwards and upwards Guys. Onwards and upwards!
Does this ever happen to you? You think you have it cracked on the food waste front, then wham – straight back down to earth?
As always a huge thank you to Kristen aka The Frugal Girl the original inspiration behind Food Waste Friday. Head on over to hers to link up!

Do I? Every week! Sigh… your fridge looks so nice and clean:) I was excited to see we only had 3 strawberries to compost this week but I also just realized that I had forgotten about the spoiled milk (from 2 weeks ago so now it’s probably too late to use it in place of buttermilk) in the back of my fridge (behind 2 large containers of bread dough, which is why I forgot about it) and also I should check on the pudding cups I had made with some of the same milk…
The problem with trying to avoid food waste is that I have been VERY diligent in eating our leftovers, which has led to my putting on weight when I’m trying to lose some. I might need to think a little harder about the quantities that I cook when it’s dinnertime.
