Some weeks the posts come easily. In fact some weeks I have so much to say I can’t possibly post it all without wearing out my welcome.
This week it’s all gone a little quiet.
This happens when I am out of my usual routine.
So, as I am undecided what to post about, I thought I’d open up the floor.
Is there anything that I ought to post? Have you been reading and thought ‘oh I wonder how she does that?’ or ‘That’d be a useful recipe’ or of course anything else that may have sprung to mind.
If there aren’t any suggestions I’ll be back Friday with No Waste Tastes Great and then back on track next week with my usual 3 x weekly posts!
The floor is open!
Your salt dough please. I’ve seen different receipes online and they’re all subtly different out there.
This has been requested before – good idea! It’ll make a nice post – Thanks Jessica
Jessica my router gave up the ghost Wednesday PM – I couldn’t believe it. Only just back on the internet. Will post over weekend salt dough recipe etc… sorry!

Daily planning/routine – how do you fit it all in (just a thought from one struggling to find a routine that works π )
Thanks Clare – I’ll give this one some thought and see what I come up with!

I cant think of anything, but I know I read blogs and find a topic interesting and then think, I could blog about that too. Like seeing someone’s linen closet makes me think of why mine is like it is, and why I have the linens I do… So then I take photos. Not exactly earth shattering, but I like the on going evaluation of what I do ,and why.
Sarah – I’m also the same. I read things about other peoples life and it makes me think and gives me ideas! I see my blog as a meeting place. So really it’s no different to having a chat with friends reading and writing blogs, to me.

I can’t think of anything. And this is one of the (many) reasons I don’t blog: empty brain!!
I CAN tell you, I find anything you write to be interesting. So you’re probably safe on any topic π
Thank you Jo you are always very sweet. I’m going with salt dough and cards… I think that might interest you (oh and I’ll thrown in some buttons for good measure)!
p.s the fundraiser I did last Friday there was a stall there selling button hearts – I thought of you! π
Lovely! I look forward to it π

Reading and Running these days Jo, BUT would love you to give some ideas on ‘quick meals’… Life has taken over recently and too many chippys have crept in lately!! But honestly what you do is fab xx
Sharron xxxx
Hey Sharron ‘How you doin’? (said in my best ‘joey from friends’ accent). Running eh? How’s it going? Quick (balanced) meals is something I have considered posting. I have a few. Watch this space!
Life’s very busy, 1 year down, 2 to go π About to start a whole month off, with two weeks in Florida to look forward too, lots of catching up on chores, and a house extension to deal with too, (so it’s not actually a month off π )……

Jo, greetings from the U.S.! I absolutely LOVE your blog (partly because I’m an Anglophile, and like your mix of frugality + minimalism) and have scrolled through a lot of the archives. While I think I understand your minimalist philosophy from some of your older posts, I’m curious how you arrived at frugality. It doesn’t seem like frugality is an economic necessity for you, and we all know minimalism can be crazy expensive if you let it. I’d just be curious to read some posts (or if you could direct me to some older ones I’ve missed!) on your frugal philosophy. I like everything you write though!
Hey Kristin – lovely to have you here. My blog really is about ‘the simple life’ I’d say. Personally I feel frugality is a by-product of my philosophy on home-life rather than the driving force. It’s a good by-product though! When I first started blogging I was about 18 months into the new way of life (although I reckon I’ve always been a simple gal at heart). Initially I thought I was headed toward minimalism, but that’s not really what it’s all about. Years ago I read a little about voluntary simplicity and was intrigued, then as minimalism surfaced a few years ago (an update version of simplicity maybe?) I really became interested in the whole reducing consumption.
To sum it up as succinctly as possible I’d say it’s all about waste. Not wasting time, money, creativity, life. Not creating physical waste through consumption. And not wasting money. The saying here at Chez Wright is ‘We don’t mind spending money, but hate wasting it’. Therefore this is a matter of personal choice. What I spend on may not be what someone else does. Holidays (vacations) are my main indulgence. I’m happy to superglue my boots back together for a nice holiday! Even if that means I do it year in year out. I love my old boots so why replace, just repair. Every penny not wasted is saved – however insignificant it may seem. And that’s about waste, not really frugality. Jo
