I’ve had posts planned all this week. Then for one reason, or another, they haven’t been typed up well enough to publish.
As I’m a Type B personality, rather than Type A, it isn’t the end of the world when I change tack and do not accomplish something I have set out to do in a timely fashion.
Regardless, one area I’d hoped to improve on this year was making my posting less sporadic, or rather less ‘how the wind blows’ each week.
Change of subject slightly – boy is it blowing a hooley in the UK today!
Which brings me back to posting. I definitely intended on posting today, and then my internet connection disappeared. Now I know this isn’t the good old days when telephone lines went down when the wind picked up, but I am wondering if our rather blustery weather is affecting something?
I’m aiming to blog more professionally in 2015, so I am a little disappointed in my lack of posts this week. But at the same time, I’m going to cut myself some slack (Type B dominating once more!)
In fact, my plans to have a more refined blog led me to having a mini makeover and photo-shoot this morning. Ha! Funny.
When I say I do not like being photographed, no really, I don’t.
I found it very strange, despite my lovely photographer putting me at ease.
But as I said I’m not keen on being in front of the lens at all.
And over to you – take it away Guys. Fill me in (and others) on what you’ve been up to!

Just finishing up my lunch hour here. It’s been windy and very cold here, and possibly snow on the way this weekend! It’s a 3-day weekend here, so I don’t mind if the roads are a bit iffy & we need to stay home. Having a slew of medical tests over the next few weeks so please send a few good thoughts my way for good results. Nothing serious (she said, hopefully) but definitely annoying!

Congratulations Sharron… I was a nurse for 8 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Always wanted to work in the operating room; never actually did but always found it fascinating. Good luck. ?

“Theatre” does refer to the operating room, right? ???

Yes it does! I’m the opposite, stay at home Mum for as long as i was needed, then went and got my career. And Thank you!

Today it was chilly and cloudy and even drizzly, here in Central Florida. I didn’t get much sleep last night so I was sluggish and not very productive. Actually, I spent a good part of the day shopping online. One of my goals for 2015 is to learn how to can food and I bought a steam canner on Amazon today. I was able to get it for only $1.63 after redeeming my Swagbucks gift cards and Discover Card rewards. I can’t wait to get started! I have oranges that I picked last week that I want to turn into marmalade.
Then I bought myself some new running shoes. I was waiting until today to order them so I could use a 30% off code on Kohls.com, and I also got free shipping. I saw that if I spent about $6 more, I could qualify for a $10 rebate so I treated myself to a new running shirt (on sale) and also a yogurt thermometer (yogurt being another thing I want to try to make this year).
I baked cookies for my son and his friend who came home with him after school.
This afternoon I felt really guilty about having done pretty much nothing today so I walked to the library (2 miles round-trip) while listening to my favorite concert of my oldest son’s Big Band and checked out one of the newest thrillers that I was waiting for me. I also got to chat with the librarian in charge of the teen programming who showed me what the kids have been doing in the program that my youngest has been attending for the last couple of weeks. It was fun to see him so extroverted on tape when in fact he is such an introvert most of the time! I forced him to attend the program, knowing that he would really enjoy it and I was right. Mom knows best…
Now I really ought to put the laptop away and fold the laundry that’s sitting right in front of me…
Good luck with the inspiration for the posts!

Florida is my favourite place on earth. We visit every April for 2 weeks. Not long enough but very grateful that we can!

It’s the end of the day for me here (eastern US). Hubby has fallen asleep on the couch like a proper husband, lol. Now I’m enjoying some peace and quiet by myself, which is heavenly. I plan to make a cup of chamomile tea. I have a toddler and a baby and I stay home full time with them, so it’s lovely to have some quiet unwinding after they’re in bed.
Actually I’m quite proud of myself for getting them both to bed at a reasonable hour. ?. I’m trying hard to sync up their schedules. Challenging but I think it’s necessary to my sanity.
Today wasn’t terribly exciting. I went out shopping while my mom watched the kiddos and found jeans for myself at a Gap outlet, and jeans and boots for my toddler at a consignment shop. My house got a thorough cleaning which is a lovely feeling.
Another thing I’m proud of is that I decided not to finish a book I had started. It was a book I had planned to read after reading a blogger’s review of it. But after I started it, I wasn’t impressed at all and found it very dull. Ordinarily I would feel pressured to finish it anyway out of some strange guilt, but I’ve realized that is silly. If I don’t like the book, why would I waste my time reading it?? ??
Claire says
I’ve only just admitted to myself that it’s OK not to finish a book. If I started one I always used to force myself to the end, but as you say, why waste the precious time!

I got an unexpected day off today so the washing machine is on, the slow cooker is on and I’m just having a cuppa before deciding what to do next!

We are in a massive drought here in SW Kansas. However, we woke up this morning to rain. My first thought was, “Crap, I left the dog out!” However, the hubby, being up at all hours, had let her in. It is strange to have rain in Kansas. It is strange to have rain in January in Kansas. We just came off a couple of lovely days (upper 60s people), so we are actually having a lovely winter. I don’t know about personality types, but I think I must be a type B too…I don’t always stress about not achieving, or getting thing done in a timely matter. I do wish I did at times though..
