You may have noticed I haven’t been around my virtual home much over the last week or so. You may not. There was no open house/blog yesterday, but I did find time to start a conversation over at Facebook. Thank you for joining in.
My decision to take Christmas off this year has already proved itself to be a good one.
As Rachel said herself “Life happens when you’re making plans, as they say.”
Maybe I had a premonition, or maybe fate intervened. Whatever happened it was the right decision.
While arriving at Christmasland, and trying to create a magical Christmas time for my children, I have also had a week (and a bit) of literally trying to keep my head above water.
I’ve said it before, but you can tell what kind of week I have had by my Friday fridge photo.
This week I cannot even bring myself to look inside and do an inventory. I’ll be linking up (when I’ve done it) at The Frugal Girl, will you?
Fortunately as I only buy for 7 days in advance, it won’t be carnage. My estimation is ‘chaotic’.
I will be taking a look, but not until tomorrow, when I can come up for air.
I can’t just sign off when just leaving you with a photo of the outside of my Friday fridge.
So, I’ll share something that put a smile on my face last night. I’m a huge advocate of looking for things to make you smile every day. And this did.
Thanks as always to Kristen, The Frugal Girl, (the founder of Food Waste Friday and the inspiration behind No Waste Tastes Great)…Don’t forget to head on over to her’s to link up your Food Waste Friday post!

I saw your picture on instagram and LOL at the elf sitting there. I think he should be sitting on a bottle of wine! And if it helps, my fridge is currently in a similar state, and high on my list of chores for the weekend.

I agree! A glass of red would go down very nicely. Now there’s an idea!

We all have weeks like this! Don’t be too hard on yourself. At least you make an effort! I hope things slow down for you soon and you get a bit of a break. Here is how we did this week: http://wp.me/p4yT07-12Q
