It’s easy to mistake those who blog, as experts on a subject.
I’m no expert, and I’m definitely no role model.
When I was interviewed by The Guardian earlier this year, I hope I conveyed that.
I’m a Mum, who is trying to improve her habits. particularly with regard reducing food waste by having a Friday routine. I’m also trying to reduce plastic waste from food packaging.
This is the honest truth of the matter:
I have bad weeks. Very bad weeks. This is one of those weeks.
Warts and all Guys – or rather ‘mould’ and all.
All I can do is try harder next week.
This is my starting point. A clean and decluttered fridge!
Wish me luck…
(I’m not around today to reply to comments – checking in tomorrow!
Thanks as always to Kristen, The Frugal Girl, (the founder of Food Waste Friday and the inspiration behind No Waste Tastes Great)…Don’t forget to head on over to her’s to link up your Food Waste Friday post!

Would it help to know that someone else is having massive waste this week? A quarter of a deli chicken. One and a half heads of romaine lettuce. One-half red pepper. One wiener, two cooked potatoes, one and a half jars of turkey stock. And three bananas.
It’s like my fridge in 2010 all over again … Maybe it’s something going around 🙂

Do your best with what you know. Anyone who blogs and captures their lives online is an ordinary person. No role model? Did you sign up for that Jo? I think we are all role models and you are doing a brilliant job with what you know!
Waste on my front, a little. I am looking at waste in other parts of my kitchen and I have identified my spice cupboard as needing attention this week 🙂

Role model’s don’t need to be perfect 🙂 You are most definitely a role model, without your inspiration I would not be making the progress I am with my food waste, and lets not forget the decluttering and simplifying too! Progress and intention are more important than perfection.
Be nice to yourself lovely lady xx
I had some furry strawberries this week. Blah! and some squishy kiwifruit. Post tummy bug no one is eating their normal things and they have been forgotten! And your picture has reminded me I haven’t checked up on the lemons lately… 🙂 Nor have I blogged about my food waste. Life has been to hectic lately!
