Just by chance, this morning, I decided to check the date of my first ever blog post.
It was 8 October 2010.
Gosh – over 4 years ago. Doesn’t time fly when you’re typing π
I then checked what I’d posted on 15 October 2014 – 4 years to the day.
It was this Simple Chicken Tikka Masala Slow Cooker Recipe
(without photos – what was I thinking?)
When I first started blogging it was to record, and share, my homespun recipes with friends and family, and anyone else who stumbled acrossΒ me in the virtual world.
Now seems the perfect time to thank you for finding me.
It’s humbling when you see the worldwide views on blog posts that you write from wet and windy Middle England as Autumn sets in.
It reminds me that the world is awakening in the southern hemisphere to Spring.
And that our lives although physically spaced out (wherever we are) and in many ways different, are in fact interwoven with commonalities and philosophies on life.
Thank you for finding me, because it allowed me to find you.
Don’t forget its virtual coffee and cake here tomorrow at mine. Or wine for those joining later! Open House – Anything Goes! Come by and chat!

Thank you for posting!! I’ve recently found your blog, (I believe it was in June) I have been trying some of your recipes, with great success! I can’t wait for it to get cooler here ( I’m in sunny California), so I can try some of the soup recipes you have.

Happy blog anniversary, Jo! You’ve inspired me greatly in getting my fridge waste under control, for which I am very thankful. Isn’t it wonderful how the internet allows us to make friends and learn new skills from around the world?

Thank you for deciding to write your blog and then writing and continuing to write and publish it! You have made me focus more on how full my fridge is and stays. I am working at learning to buy less so we waste less. I am also relearning to write out my menus. I shop for most things just once a month so I am doing menu planning for a month at a time.
Thank you for helping remind me how helpful the planning process is. π
