There hasn’t been a Halloween post, here at the blog, in the lead up to today.
(I love this cookie, this Kids made, last Halloween)
Why?
Because we haven’t done anything in advance of Halloween this year. It’s oh so quiet (As Bjork would say).
In fact, the pumpkin’s not yet carved.
(Aldi pumpkin £1.99 – it’s HUGE!)
Good job we have a ready to go jack’o’lantern. Painted when the Kids were tiny.
Knowing there was no school, this Halloween, I decided to leave all scary activities until 31st October.
Well nearly all. A visit to Blackpool on Tuesday included a trip to the top of the tower.
I may not have mentioned this before, I’m terrified of heights.
Our trip to Ikea was less knee-trembling. Ikea is quickly becoming my favourite homeware retailer. For someone who doesn’t like shopping, Ikea is a pleasure. I love the way the store doesn’t display items, it gives you ideas.
It continues to inspire us to create our own art.
“Art is what you can get away with” – Andy Warhol
Talking of art, and of Halloween. This is how I’ll be dishing out the treats later.
My very own sculpture made of icing. Paying homage to my favourite TV show.
Can you guess what it is?
How will you be celebrating Halloween this year?

I’m afraid of heights and I would never do what you did at the tower! Good for you for facing you fears.

Stumbled upon your “Oh So” informative blog today, as I’m making salt dough ornaments for Winter/Valentine’s Day with my huge Girl Scout troop. Love your style and I’m looking forward to much much more! P.S: True Blood all the way! Met the cast twice and it’s my absolute fave and always will be. Go Alan Ball!

Oh Debbie – how to make a girl jealous! The whole cast? I’ma bit of an Eric Northman (or should that be Alex Skarsgard) fan (huge understatement). And Jason – well hilarious!
Good luck with your crafting with the girls. This recipe doesn’t fail.
I agree ‘Go Alan Ball’!
