Hi Guys wanted to show my face and ramble a little, and thought the ‘Today I am..’ type post would be a good way to do that…
We still aren’t back from ‘Christmasland’ yet, so not in the normal routine, the normal blogging schedule will resume on Friday.
(did anyone in the UK see David Mitchell’s sketch on Michael McIntyre’s Christmas Roadshow talking about Christmasland? – very funny!)
Today I am…
1. Typing this post whilst listening to the above on iplayer (I love stand-up comedy!)
2. Helping the Kids work their way through their presents, opening boxes and reading instructions…
3. Baking a carrot birthday cake for my Big Sis after being inspired by Rebecca’s comment last Friday…
4. Taking a little time to read Courtney Carvers post How To Make A Love List
5. Dropping First-Born off at a friends as they are going bowling and on the way back collecting my Mom so she can come and spend some time with Second-Born…
6. Spending some time tidying up the house and trying to work out how to get the photo’s of my fab new camera onto my PC!
7. I had planned to get someone to Sky+ Extreme Cheapskates on TLC as one of my favourite bloggers Katy was to appear on it – but apparently her segments been cut – read about it here
Anyhow I’m off to start that cake – what are you up to today?
I missed the christmas roadshow, the telly has been generally rubbish, with the exception of Downton Abbey, and the re run of last years Royle family i havn’t really watched any. But i have become a master at guess who 🙂 Like the look of that programme, will we get it here in the uk? I have Virgin media, do you get TLC
Today we went to my friends for lunch, it was lovely, sometimes it’ just nice having food made for you. I have a date with my ucas application and i must get back to the gym, apart from that i hate the lull after christmas 🙁

New year new start – what’s the UCAS for? We don’t have any ‘pay to view’ tv so I didn’t see it… interested to hear what Katy has to say now it’s been shown…

I want to get into the medical proffession, properly this time! What i want to do i need to go to uni to do. I’m keeping tight lipped as it is very sought after. 800-1000 applicants for 20 places…. I must be mad 🙂 Scrub that i am mad, i gave up a well paid job a couple of years ago to well, ‘find myself’ and become more of a stay at home mum. BUT i have less time now than i had back then when i worked. I’ve loved it, i am a school governer, i’m secretary to the PTA, i go on all the school trips/organise events, but all of it unpaid 🙁 My baby girl only has 2 more years left so it’s high time i stopped making excues and go and get myself a career. Sad it is though School has been a huge part of my life since my eldest son started there in 1998.
