It’s Friday Guys so time for No Waste Tastes Great…
I can confirm that there is No Waste at Chez Wright!
This is mainly because I did not purchase any groceries this week in line with my usual routine. ย I normally receive my online delivery Saturday morning, but this lucky lady was off to see Take That at Manchester City Football Stadium as a pre-birthday treat! ย And what a treat it was. There I stood amongst 55,000+ fans feeling anonymous and free. Being entertained by the greatest boy band of all time.
I didn’t do any filming, as I was so compacted in the scrum it would have been impossible (had a great position though) – but I did lift this clip off You Tube from someone who was sitting high up. It’s quite long but the best quality one I could find –ย they start singing at 3.40 mins and Robbie does his mini bungee at 7.18mins.
Take That Progress Tour 11 June 2011 Manchester – The Flood
Sunday 12 June was Mine and Dan’s Birthday and it was also the wettest day in the UK since 1/10/10. So the outdoor party planned at Telford Wonderland was a bit of a washout, but our party host The Mad Hatter did a fantastic job. At least we had the park to ourselves. On the way home our party popped to Frankie and Benny’s where I was surprised with a birthday cake (as I never make one for myself!)… Dan blew out the candles. You can tell what a cold wet day we had by my ultra red nose in this photo. Absolutely nothing to do with the two bottles of Corona I had just drunk!
My cake, My Beautiful Son and I
Dan’s cake
A good week all in all, no food waste, I’m back in the healthy eating and exercise groove with lots of great things planned for the summer. Look’s like the blues have been blown away finally! Who’d have thought turning a year older could kick it all into gear?
Oh and if you hadn’t noticed I have a new domain! It was my birthday present to myself. I’m now www.simplybeingmum.com – got a nice ring to it don’t you think?
Hope all going well with you guys, and that the fridge is nice and empty. Back tomorrow with the first Saturday Simple Meal Plan in ages plus some other stuff. No takeaway for us tonight as usually Friday Night is Date Night at Chez Wright. The eating is going so well I cannot bear to deviate so have picked up a few bits and pieces for a chicken salad.
Have a good friday y’all.

Happy birthday to you and Daniel Jo! The cakes are fabulous as usual (did you make yours too?).
It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. ๐
Congratulations on the new domain and look and feel of the blog! I love it!

Thank you Jenny – No my cake was a shop made one, and a total surprise. It was brought out after the meal. Dan really enjoyed all the attention in the restaurant and even though it was my cake had three candles for him to blow out.

Congratulations on everything — especially on getting rid of the blues and on the domain name. That puts you up there with the serious bloggers now.
I’m looking forward to seeing more posts (and comments on my blog perhaps?) in the future. I’ve been busy lately and have neglected a number of things, but I’m feeling back on track too.

Thanks Gip – Yeah I haven’t been out much (in the virtual world) – I was so down in the doldrums that my energy level had plummeted and even being online seemed a huge effort. But like you back on track now! As for being amongst the serious bloggers – just the thought of calling myself one makes me laugh!!!! ๐

I am soooo jealous of the Take That concert!! I also have quite a few friends I could never admit that to,lol.
Really please to hear the blues have blown away – I do think phases like that can be natural part of the rythms of life, but they are hard at the time. I’ve just been through a similar phase but this last month I have been beginning to really enjoy my ife again. Sometimes all it takes is a few tweeks.
I’ve just re engaged with proper budgetting again having let that slip and done a 2 week menu plan for OH. I’ve just signed up for a Raw coaching course so at least half of my evening meals will be different from OH’s.
You have an outdoor healthy glow in the picture :O)
Money is tight for the remainsder of the month so the challenge s to use up supplies in the freezer and larder.

A couple of my friends are going to the concerts in Birmingham and it is very tempting to purchase a ridiculously overpriced ticket to go again – but I won’t! The night I went in Manchester was DVD filming night – so I have pre-ordered my copy – and who know’s I may be on it? I waved and jumped around enough!
The Raw Coaching Course sounds interesting – I hope you get some good info and ideas from it. Keep going with the using up – I managed 4/5 days just scarping through the cupboards, it’s amazing what you can find ๐

Hi Jo from the “other Jo” – glad to hear you’re feeling energetic again. Love the new look here. Your No Waste Tastes Great always inspires me and reminds me to look twice in the fridge and cupboards instead of running out to buy new stuff.

Thanks Jo W – It’s great to hear that the NWTG acts as a little reminder. It makes me accountable each week by blogging, that extra bit vigilant. I love seeing an empty fridge!
