I’m Back Guys! The extended leave was by all intents and purposes an accident…
Let me fill you in… posted 16th April my much awaited Carrot Soup Recipe, with grand plans for a post on Sunday 17th. Sunday is my Faminimalism series. However the post for that day was actually going to be about Faith Jane’s decision to potentially stop blogging. As it was indeed meant to be Faith from Minimalist at Home’s story that day – but I hadn’t the heart to chase her for her Guest Post when I read
Why I am considering closing my blog
However my post did not go ahead, I won’t go into the gory details, but that weekend wasn’t the best – and the grisly story ends there!
Kind of lost the blogging plot at that point, and decided to wait till Friday for my No Waste Tastes Great. However the Hubby decided an Easter Break was required so off to Sunny Wales we headed. I had the post all planned, I’d completed my Friday Routine and took photos etc…only to find Mother Nature enforced me to take a digital sabbatical. I’d planned to do NWTG from our caravan by the sea – alas no phone signal – resulting in no internet connection. I’m not really a ‘draft’ blogger – I write when inspiration strikes very rarely planning ahead or drafting posts for submission later. It’s all a bit hit and miss with me.
Anyhow’s I’m back and I would like to take this opportunity to send out a HUGE virtual hug to Jenny from Ex-Consumer who is one of the sweetest people I have ever virtually met – and also compared me to William Shakespeare (albeit loosely) in an earlier e-mail – who’d have thought using the word ‘fortnight’ could provoke such a reaction?
🙂
In the words of Arnie and not Willie ‘I’ll be back’…………………..

Hi Jo,
So sorry to leave you high and dry on the guest post.
A trip to Sunny Wales sounds like it should be required of all bloggers! 🙂

That’s absolutely no problem Hun! When I read your post there was no way I was going to e-mail you about the Guest Post. In fact I had planned to direct everyone over to you for some moral support – but things did not go to plan. You are so right about Sunny Wales – it was enforced rest and relaxation and was fantastic. Overlooking the sea, feet in the sand, playing with the kids – perfect – just what was needed. Hope you are okay – haven’t read latest post yet as only just getting back up to speed but will! 🙂

I’m glad you’re back. I’ve certainly missed you, and I suspect lots of others who follow this blog and enjoy your comments all around the blog world have too.
Deb at Life Beyond Stuff just got back from a short break too.
I almost went away for a couple of days two weeks ago, but then I didn’t. Now, I’m wondering why I didn’t.

Go Gip Go – seriously it has done me the world of good… no phone signal was the icing on the cake – which may sound odd when I love blogging so much but sometimes you need to switch off for a bit… just a little bit though cos I missed you Guys too! Will be popping over to everyones place over next couple of days and checking in to see how it’s all going! 🙂

Thank goodness for that. I came back from holiday and wondered what was going on with everyone. I was off Internet for a couple of days also. We stayed at my mother’s and they have such a tiny amount of broadband that we romped through their months supply in a couple of days. The things we take for granted. Glad you aren’t one of the blogging casualties:-)
simplybeingmum says
Hi Deb – Hope you had a lovely time. Didn’t know about the blogging casualties – however do know there are maybe a few people undecided whether to continue or reducing their posting somewhat… reckon I’m here to stay – there’s no plan to any of this so therefore under no pressure personally – just enjoying the ride! and the company! 🙂

Gosh Deb – Had just a little wander around the community this evening and it’s pretty quiet out there. I can see what you mean now about when you got back and wondered what had happened.

Well, you know I missed you while you were away, and I’m thrilled that your back on the blogging scene. 🙂

I hope you didn’t see many sharks with the whales. Ha, ha. I meant to write “Wales” not “Whales.” And “in the” not “int eh.” What is it about your blog that forces me to misspell words?! 😉
simplybeingmum says
Oh Jenny you do make me laugh! I wondered whether the Whales thing was deliberate so didn’t think ‘owt of it! Glad to be back – still need to get over to yours – you’ve been a busy girl!

Jo, I’d like to reassure you that I didn’t take it at all personally that you disappeared the moment I suscribed to your blog…much. ROFL.
Sometimes we need a break from things we love to come back refreshed. Good on DH for insisting on the Wales break, particularly with the weather we’ve been having. The words “sunny” and Wales” aren’t normally found in the same sentance, let alone next to each other :O).
simplybeingmum says
I’m soooo glad you didn’t take it personally 🙂 certainly nothing to do with your arrival – just bad planning on my part!
I know “Sunny Wales” – who’d have thought eh? However the sun lasted about 5 hours after we got there to be followed by thunder storms and then 24 hours of cold weather. It however may not have been so cold had I not just packed vest tops, mini ra-ra skirts and flip flops! opps! My memory must have faded from the last time I visited the beautiful hills. Fortunately just one day of freezing on the damp beach then back to glorious sunshine… just what the doc ordered – hope all good with you? Jo
