It’s Friday Guys! It’s No Waste Tastes Great at Chez Wright!
This Friday however is a special Friday as it’s the Hubby’s Birthday.
As a special treat I am taking him out for a Balti and a Beer (you can see why he married me)

Birthday or not, I still take food waste seriously and take part in Food Waste Friday over at The Frugal Girl, so have been vigilant all week to ensure that things got used as they should – apart from – wait for it…
(drum roll please…)
1 x Courgette
3 x Peppers
20 x Cherry Tomatoes
As we are eating out tonight I have decided to try a slow-cooked pasta sauce with these ingredients, which can then be refrigerated and used Monday as part of Meat-free Monday. I’ll post the recipe if any good!
Apart from that no waste for me…Yippee! How about you Guys, any waste? Any plans to use it up or need any inspiration?
My husband and I are taking a page out of your playbook. If we don’t have any waste tomorrow, we’re giving the kids Breakfast for Dinner and saving the Israeli takeout for after they’re in bed. We’re very excited!

We’re still iced in here in North Texas with fresh snow on top of it, so we’ve been using through our supplies nicely. We should have had more veggies in the house before the ice came, but we did just fine.
Tomorrow, it will be melting outside before lunchtime, and we’ll be our car as soon as we can see the road again. So, it’s two well-deserved meals out for us tomorrow!
