Be Happy Not Angry

Today is typically decluttering day at Chez Wright. That was the plan – and I planned to post about it.

Then something happened. Someone got angry at me.

A stranger got angry with me. I made a mistake. A small one, and unintentionally. However by the time I had rectified my error they were pretty mad at me.

The thing is, it’s made me feel bad. Because one thing I never intend to do is make people angry. Never. It’s just not me.

This isn’t one-side of my face writing this, and the other winking with malice. There’s only one face here. I may be a Gemini but there’s no twin personality.

In my world I am not separate from others – we are all in it together. Everything can be resolved, all can be made good with open communication and honest support of all of our needs, hopes and dreams. We can do this together, can’t we?

I’m a musketeer – one for all and all for one.

No BS, that’s how I roll.

Let’s cut to Pretty Woman – one of the greatest films of all time – gotta love Julia Roberts whatever she’s in.

(Richard Gere recently commented the first time he met her she ‘lit up the room’. I believe that).

Do you remember the bath scene – the one where Julia Roberts educates Richard Gere on the length of her legs?

Edward tells Vivian that through therapy he learned he was very ‘angry’ with his father. He repeats it 4 times. Vivian comments he must now be ‘happy’. Edward doesn’t reply.

How about focusing on the positive? What makes us ‘happy’? It’s too easy to focus on the negative. What does it accomplish? really?

You know that saying ‘life’s a b***h and then you die’? I don’t believe it. Not a word.

Be Happy Not Angry.

Be Happy

Such a wise post. The world would be such a better place if we lived like this. As my world is the only bit I can influence , I’m going to take this to eart and dry to be mindful of being happy not angry this week. Thanks!!xx

Have you read ‘The Chimp Paradox’? Explains his/her behaviour (and your reaction to it). Really recommend it 🙂

It’s oftern easier to blame our past or others than to look into ourselves and see how we can change and turn stress into contentment. 🙂

Way too easy not to take responsibility!
